Elegant Fondue Chocolate (Sweet)
from the Oster (blender) brochure "Fun and Fancy Fondue Feasts"
3 3-oz. bars Toblerone milk chocolate
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons kirsch, orange liqueur, or fruit flavor brandy
Break Toblerone into triangular pieces and melt in cream in fondue pot,
stirring frequently until chocolate is melted. Add liqueur and stir
well. (For a thinner fondue, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of cream).
Variation: Use two 3-oz. bars Toblerone milk chocolate and one 3-oz.
bar Toblerone bittersweet chocolate for a semisweet chocolate fondue.
Dippers: Assorted fruit pieces - firm bananas, tart apples, rasp-
berries, strawberries, pears; cubes of cream cheese; cubes of angel
or sponge cake; marshmallows.
This is a fun party dessert...you will need fondue forks. I use a
teflon lined small casserole for my fondue pot and keep it warm
on a Salton Hot Tray.
